Description

All Things Therapy & Training Ltd. is a fully inclusive therapy service. We offer individual counselling and psychotherapy, family therapy and couples counselling to any age or ability. We have a range of experiences in different healthcare settings, with different client groups and with various difficulties. We use a range of therapy styles to support individual needs and have significant experience working with neurodiverse clients.

Our belief is that all therapy should be tailored, supportive and non-judgemental. We do not believe in a ‘one style fits all approach. Every individual is different and as such, their therapeutic support should be too. We work in a relational way, where the focus is on you trusting and feeling safe with us in order to explore and work with what you need to. We do not take an ‘expert position’, we will not tell you what to do and cannot wave a magic wand. But we can use our knowledge and experience to work with you, ensure you feel listened to, accept you and encourage you to be the best version of yourself.

Individual Therapy and Counselling can be short, medium or long-term depending on what you need. This involves 1:1 working with a qualified therapist who can support you in overcoming your difficulties. Therapy is useful to help process past events or traumas, identify relational patterns that are unhelpful, understand why things are currently happening the way they are, explore and order your emotions and feelings as well as learn more about yourself and become happier and healthier.

Family therapy can support the whole family or a few members of the family. It can help to resolve conflict, better understand where we fit in the family system and support us through separation, loss or trauma. As well as support individuals and the wider family system with specific problems such as eating or panic disorders.

Couples counselling can help improve relationships, support you in better supporting each other and figure out what needs to change in order to move forward. This type of therapy focuses on you as an individual and you as a couple in a supportive and non-judgemental way.

Once you have got in touch (via the form or email), our lead Psychotherapist (Rachel) will be in touch at a time that is convenient for you. Rachel will ask you some questions and take some information to ensure we are the right people to support you and suggest which therapist may be the best fit. You will then receive a contract and a short initial assessment form (optional for adults) to complete online. Your first appointment will be booked and all contact details and addresses provided. The first session is always an initial meeting and a space for you to get to know your therapist and see how you feel. If you would like to, you can then return on a weekly or fortnightly basis at the agreed time.
